Hey There!

I’m Andrea Schroeder: mom, wife, and lover of livestock. Don't be alarmed if you see a livestock show and pigs on my social media. However, I know that’s not why you’re here. You’re probably wondering more about Avenue A, my photography business. The first question is always "How'd you get into photography?" To put it simply, I've always had a camera in my hands. In fact, I can remember the exact spot on my parent's farm where I took my very first photo. My mom has a servant's heart, and has always been well known in my little home town for taking pictures of the high school sporting events and county fair. Naturally, when she was doing Mom things, I picked up the camera and filled in. I made an excellent "second shooter" all those years ago!

I spent a long time resisting the comments from friends and family telling me to open my own photography business, but despite my resistance, the road of life led me to Avenue A. As you know, an "avenue" is a broad road in a town or city, typically having trees at regular intervals along its sides. Many of my favorite images are from quick stops along tree-lined roads across the country. In fact, don't be surprised if I find a random spot to stop with your bridal party!

I'm also a sentimental person, and as such, I LOVE nothing more than hearing about the earrings that were your grandmas, or the cufflinks passed down for generations that your husband is wearing.

Much like my mom was constantly serving others, don't be surprised if I end up helping with anything that comes up along the way on your wedding day. That seems to be my natural talent.
